Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his role in the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His passion for acting started in his early college days. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. His characters in television are gaining him lots of attention. The actor is able to create characters that reflect both the bad and good aspects of the legal system. He has the ability to draw the attention of viewers with ease. He was the voice of a serial killer in the first TV series he appeared in and then went on to take on the role that of a NYPD detective. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he's been awarded numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. He is known by his blue piercing eyes that have been an iconic feature and have helped to in portraying tough characters with a sense of humor. He was featured in 2006 when he was included on People's publication's Sexiest Men Alive list.
